Community Service

• 2002 - Proposed and successfully spearheaded alternate campus master plan for Glen Springs Elementary School to preserve environmental integrity and advance educational quality of adjacent communities in metropolitan Gainesville, Florida.


• 1976–95 - Authored and designed various documents relevant to cultural and educational activities held at Florida International University, Miami-Dade Community College, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the Dante Alighieri Society, Temple Israel of Greater Miami, and the Homestead Jewish Center

Served as host and translator for international cultural events sponsored by FIU, Miami, Florida

• 1992–93 - Contributed scholarly, creative, and administrative expertise to We Will Rebuild, a major hurricane recovery project, Miami, Florida
